Dear Paul,
Thank you very much for keeping and publishing your in-depth studies of the Sadler method with remarkable stamina.
All this reminds us of the huge efforts invested over the past Centuries into the reduction of our 2 rather simple known Formulae (or their siblings) to compute both the Altitudes and the Azimuts. So many different methods, certainly more than 10, maybe more than 20 !
Is it not a somewhat cruel coincidence that when we now have at hand so much electronic computing power - which has made such tabular methods a bit outdated - while at the same time Celestial Navigation has lost much of its favour against SATNAV ...
Thank you again and congratulations to you Paul for your in-depth contribution.
Best Regards
Kermit
