Considering the "Continental shelves" are evidence that sea level was once way way below where it is today...Tegua Island is nowhere near the first to experience this problem. Yes, sea level is rising. So? Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down, and as usual, "---- happens".

Which is it, some "poison sea", the Black Sea maybe? there have been archaeological digs many fathoms below present sea level. MANY fathoms. On "villages" that were dry land.
