Francis. I went to bed at 01:30 UK time, so you must have gone to bed very late or been up very early!. There's a good description of George Herbert Scott here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Herbert_Scott , but from the tone of the log, he as commander didn't write it. Did you work out from your early morning reading who did write it. Dave
