In the summer when the altitude is more than 64+- degrees, you may do AM & PM sun sights as has been suggested. You may also turn your attention to the moon, stars and planets from twighlite to dawn. Sights of Polaris yield latitude lines without sight reductions, for example. The change will give you cause to learn your way around the night sky and follow it as it changes through the seasons. Take some night-sight time to learn the constellations and which lead the eye to the 57 navigational stars.
