I am trying to clear a lunar that I shot on 4-3-2024. I was going to get the altitudes of the sun and moon from Stellarium, but decided to update to the latest version before I did so. A lot of things seem different now and some are very problematic. I'm going to list a few of the problems to begin with and I am hoping that someone on Navlist can recognize what is going on with the program. Uninstalling and reinstalling Stellarium 2.4 didn't help. My computer is running Windows 11 and I made sure that I downloaded the correct version. I spent some time reviewing the User Guide (450+ pages), but it wasn't much help. I have been able to set the Lat/Long of my location and it remains correct each time I open the program.
Problem 1: I can't left-click on an object to get information about it. What gets highlighted is some other random object and the data for that object is displayed.
Problem 2: The default view on my screen has the horizon about one fourth of the way from the top of the screen (i.e. three fourths of my view is landscape and only one fourth is sky). I can lower the horizon to where I want it, but I have to do this each time I run the program.
Problem 3: The angle measuring tool doesn't work properly. When I left-click on an object that I want to start measuring from, I don't see the line. There is a measuring line, but it has started at some random location, not where I want to start measuring from.
There are probably other things going on that I haven't noticed yet. I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance. Homer
