    Navigators,

I could not help myself -- I had to take a look.

    1. I Get through occasionally to a site Titled, "Celestial Navigation Data
for Assumed Position and Time" at
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/AA/data/docs/celnavtable.html. This is not a "page
out of the Nautical Almanac" as it has been called but an interactive
display with inputs for date, UT and AP. Only 26 Navigational Stars are
listed together with Sun, Moon, Planets and Aries. This appears to be the
    page under discussion.

    2. Sometimes I get the "Failed to connect..." error message.

    3. Conclusion: Probably the Re: Re: Hi (WAS: Re: ping) audience has been so
curious over this ping-pong communication that they are saturating the
capability of the web server out of plain curiosity.

    4. My advice: Wait thirty days and try again at midnight.

    Robert S. Taylor
