There are some minor differences in the sextant altitude correction tables but the major difference is that the 5th edition only covers latitudes up to 65 degrees and the 6th edition has an additional table covering from 65 degrees to the pole. So, if you are planning on sailing the Northwest Passage then you need the 6th edition.

Glancing at the black-and-white PDF, it looks fine, and with reasonable care in thresholding would print well on a laser printer. It's the fifth edition---is there much difference between fifth and sixth?The NavList archive has this on H. O. 208:
