    Good Evening Craig,

    Yes, you can but I have found that it only works with the 1st order stars like Sirius and the brightest planets such as Venus and Jupiter. Even at that, I have found that you need to get up close to the AH to see them properly. I have used either a camera tripod or put the AH on a box. The idea is to get the sextant as close as possible to the reflection.
