The APL ship image was taken during the morning. Air temp 53 F, sea temp 53 F, pressure 1025 mb, wind 1-3 kts at photographer location, and judging by sea state 4-6 kts at the ship's location. Didn't sling the psychrometer for humidity and dew point. The automatic jetty fog horns were thankfully silent.

Yes, you can see on that strip - the lettering on the side of the hull is elongated at the bottom, too, in addition to the mirroring of the hull at the stern.
Water and air temps? Wind conditions?
