Forget my first post - I feel like a silly goose. Marine charts, as you know are Mercator but I am used to Lambert Conformal Conic ( Aeronautical ) charts.
It looks like the old song that you are " Sitting on the dock of the Bay" at 34d 9.8m N and 119d 13.7m W.
