Thx very much for your replies. I suspected it to be somewhat closer to 15.13885 per hour. I want to calculate precisely it for the period of the war. With this information I can go on. I like to play certain U-Boat games which have realistic celestial modelling and play with 100% realism. For me that includes celestial navigation which is much more fun to do. I use Julian Dates for the difference in days from a certain point in time with known GHA of Aries. I also compiled a spreadsheet for computing the time of culmination, both upper and lower, of the navigational stars. If you are interested I can point you to the YT videos of this game.
