Thanks for the reply. I see what you mean by threads. My mate has uninterrupted threads as in the attached pictures. I have the original scope with sun shade as a eyes piece. I just want to try and find a unfiltered eyepiece. The Husun and Hughes are so similar.

I will have a clearer idea what to look for.
