Hi Frank
I will try this next. I will inject some kerosene or turpentine in that gap to see if it will loosen it up before trying to unscrew/unplug it. If that fails I will try a mild heat bath to see if I can get lucky. As you can see from the exposed knurling I did try with some padded multigrips, I stopped when i could not get it to budge.
