The Alzheimer's reference is just one tiny aspect of the book, perhaps highlighted on the dust jacket for commercial reasons.

Still, it's a very deep, thought-provoking book written in the style of a long New Yorker or Esquire magazine essay.

Please "don't judge a book by its cover"...or its jacket blurb.

I stand by my recommendation.
