Some quick thoughts 1) http://www.celnav.de/ Hemming Umland implemented some nice javascript code for ephemeris and sight reduction - save the web page and run it in any browser. Worked fine on my MacBook Pro 2) Any of the various spreadsheet implementations - quite likely work in OpenOffice Libre Office if you dont have Microsoft eg http://www.navigation-spreadsheets.com/ 3) CelNav https://github.com/ms8r/celnav is a python program using the python ephemeris library (you can use this directly it is very easy to use with a minimal level of python programming). It is part of the Navigatrix distribution - custom Linux for cruisers. I dont remember trying it when I had a mac but I certainly ran other python code. 4) OpenCPN runs fine on a Mac, does the Celestial Navigation plug in work on a Mac though? I cant remember!
