Thanks for mentioning that tool. I bought the "Big Max"
yesterday, because I could use the built in crosshairs to read to
a 600 foot distance where the guide red laser could not be seen.
Nice toy ... err ... tool. :-)
Now I can use 18th century technology for mapping (plane table,
vane alidade, and Indian Pattern clinometer) without having to
impose on my friends to hold ranging poles and one end of a tape
for baselines.
