Greg- "Has anyone tried any of the ultrasonic measuring devices over water?" The polaroid devices are perfect for this application but since Polaroid went bankrupt and the names/divisions were sold off, I have no idea who sells those anymore. Polaroid used to sell evaluation kits for experimenters. I'm told that Hawker Sidley actually used the same sensors in the Harrier jump jets, to determine "level" attittude during landings. One of the ultrasound 'tape measures' in the home stores probably would be cheaper. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
