Thanks. Your working has confirmed that I am calculating LHA correctly and correctly extracting data from the almanc and 3270. Any errors will be arithmetical. The data you have provided can be the test data for each reduction method I try.
Currently I have:
3270 Hc = 19° 09'
486 Hc = 19° 087' which rounds to 19° 09'
Cosine Hc = 19° 07' Must be recalculated
Now a question. If the intercept is 13.7' is the distance between the two positions 13.7' and if so can it be calculated by plane trigonometry?
