Because I am learning to use the sextant and do not have a proper artificial horizon I used the app to obtain a sight suitable for practicing sight reduction. I am treating observation and reduction as two distinct projects.
Several of you have calculated Hc as 18° 55.6' so I will now use this number. The app has served its purpose and I do not need to extract greater precision from it.
