Herewith is the pdf file for this paper.
I had to ask my neighbour to use his scanner, and the result of scanned quality is better than I expected as the photcopied sheets of paper are now quite old and deteriorating.
George may now harumph if he wishes - here is the information he requested. It makes for interesting reading if nothing else and opens up a subject for debate.
The references will allow further research.
I remember Captain Cotter saying the Nautical Almanac Office had not done any work on this subject (this was approx 1973) and he gave me this paper. I note someone else here says the N.Office in America and UK have done experimental work on irradiation. I would be interested if there are references to this work they have done as there has been none in the British Institute's Navigation journal that I know of.

I have gone to the trouble to scan these pages using another scanner. Now trying to upload the file is impossible. It is most frustrating and irritating. I have tried it must be twenty times before the upload process times out. Mostly getting to 2 or 3% before timing out. Hopeless!
