Following on from “The Last Navigator” posts, those interested in Polynesian catamaran’s might wish to know that James Wharram whose designs emulated them and took them to a high degree of sophistication has died aged 93. His obituary in the Telegraph shows he was an interesting man in many respects. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2021/12/23/james-wharram-world-voyager-polynesian-catamarans-whose-passion/ His orbit in The Times was similar but harder to read in full by none-subscription payers. The reader comments, especially in The Times, were as one might have imagined. DaveP
