Another historical note on 'Commodore' Crosbie, the owner of the book.  After Brazil he had followed Lord Cochrane in the war for Greek Independence.  In 1827 he was testing out a steam powered warship, the Enterprise, as part of Cochrane's plan to defeat the Turkish navy.

Neither Taylor's "Principles of Navigation" (1837) nor the "Nautical Almanac" (1827-28) sold at prices that I thought would work, so I have relisted these with the opposite philosophy: starting prices of $20.

Nautical Almanac, 1827 and 1828: https://www.ebay.com/itm/142750704163, ends Friday at 8:23pm (Eastern Time, USA).

Taylor's "Principles of Navigation" 1837: https://www.ebay.com/itm/142753346055, ends Sunday at 10:44pm (Eastern Time, USA)
