    A couple of things:
    1) None of the problems on Navigation-L are Dan Hogan's fault. And that's
why they're such a nuisance. As Ken M. pointed out a couple of weeks ago, this
sort of buggy behavior is extremely difficult to resolve. It's easier just to
rebuild on a new server. Dan Hogan, I hope you'll join NavList and consider
being a manager on the list since members of this community clearly want your
    participation.
    2) I will be on the road for the next two days. Since I won't be able to
check in as regularly as usual, I have asked one of the co-owners of NavList to
keep an eye on things. Already today, five new subscribers have joined
    NavList.
    3) George? You would really enjoy some of the discussions going on there.
And there are no missing messages. Same goes for the rest of you who have been
waiting. You are VERY WELCOME to join. The point of NavList is not to create
a breakaway list --but rather to move this online community AS A WHOLE to a
    different, better service.
    4) To join NavList, all you have to do is send an e-mail to the subscribe
    address:
NavList-subscribe"AT"googlegroups.com. This is also explained on
    www.fer3.com/NavList
    5) Archives. The list is self-archiving on google, however I think we would
all like to see a continuation of the archive that exists on i-DEADLINK-com --if
nothing more, then as a backup (two better than one). This is relatively easy,
as long as the person who owns i-DEADLINK-com is willing. He is simply another
e-mail address signed on to the list. I'll ask him in a few days unless anyone
    objects.
    6) Spam risk on NavList is very low. I do not agree in the slightest with
Robert Gainer's concerns. But I know how he feels --when you've had an e-mail
address burned by spam, it's hard to forget. There is nothing about the google
list that would expose you to spam. E-mail adresses are masked. Nonetheless,
if you are still worried, then join NavList with a disposable e-mail address
(a hotmail address for example). In that case, I would recommend reading the
list and posting to the list via the web interface. Then it doesn't matter
whether your disposable address gets spammed to death or not because you won't
be following the list by e-mail.
    7) If we can get this over with, then we can talk about navigation (as we
have been on NavList) and no more "meta-discussion" about list trivialities.
    That would be nice, yes??
