Thanks for the heads up.

I have seen Venus a number of times while the sun was still up and I'm always surprised at how it looks like a weather balloon in my binoculars.

I'm now looking at Jupiter next to the moon in California and it is quite visible but binoculars are required. About 30 minutes before sunset.

Saw Jupiter just now, at 6:10 EDT with the Sun still high in the sky. It's tricky to spot, but when you do find it, it jumps right out. For now binoculars are definitely required, but I think it should be possible to see it naked eye before sunset.
