No, Fred, 38d 41m 30 s is as quoted in JC Beaglehole's edition of the Journals, and no one has corrected it in the 53 years since it was first published. For the watch to agree with the lunars to within a handful of minutes must have seemed truly extraordinary at a time when most were happy to get their longitude to within a degree or so.
