Golly, talk about an adventurous llife! I never met Ken, but talked with him many times. The fact that he often answered the phone himself impressed me. I mean, how many GEOs do that? Obviously, a good guy, who created a fine company. On one occasion, when a GLH130 sextant I bought from India turned out to have a micrometer drum unit with a bent shaft, Ken found one and sent it to me; then checked me out on how to install it. Over the years, I bought three aircraft sextants, a sun compass, and my Astra IIIB from him. (If you ever lose your Astra wrench, they're in stock.) His catalog is a gem which I routinely give each of my students.
There are never enough people around like Ken.
