Hi Art
My point was that to be effective as an excellent sextant that it is - it needs to be mounted - be it 3D, tripod or a salvaged real mount - that it is not useful as a portable sextant, wide angle sextant (so to speak).
Just like a periscope in a sub - a precision instrument but limited - and just does not beat the Mk 1 eyeball.
