Has anyone rebuilt a Kollsman periscopic sextant bubble chamber? One of mine is not functioning properly, as I cannot reduce the bubble to a usable size.
I have exactly the same problem. I recall 50+ years ago that I could tilt the sextant so that the bubble lodged in a "notch" on the periphery of the window, and then rotate the bubble adjustment to suck some gas out of the bubble. But the Kollsman I bought a few years ago doesn't seem to have that notch.
