Actually, now I come to think about it, I don’t think I need to buy anything new after all. I’ve got six 4BA machine screws with matching nuts. If I pick six equi-spaced holes with plenty of space below them, I can use the 4BA screws and back up behind with 4BA nuts. Then it doesn’t matter if they’re 38.48 TPI and a bit wobbly. The nuts will stop any chance of the mounting plus sextant coming tumbling down. DaveP
Probably 8-32. Nom dia is .164”, and most screws are sized slightly smaller than that. Paul Dolkas
