Eric - given that the silicone fluid is called for in the maintenance manual, it is a pretty good guess that the fluid is, indeed, silicone fluid. I'm not sure what might happen if you mix fluids, however. You could just leave the port open for a couple of days or try the filling procedure in reverse to try and extract the fluid.
I am curious what you end up doing!
