There was a typo error in my recent note, in this thread. I had written- | Using the almanac, how do you find what the predicted angle should be, | between Moon and star, at a particular moment of GMT? You will have to | look up many quanties in the almanac, each one stated to the nearest | 0.1', a potential error of +/- 0.5'. That last quantity should, of course, have been written as +/- 0.05'. Sorry about that. Elsewhere in that note, the correct amount, of +/- 0.05', has been quoted, and used.
