Thanks! The name was new to me. Just now, after some digging around on their website, I found a bio for Captain Lou: https://www.blueplanetcruisingschool.com/meet-the-crew/. My initial googling of "Captain Lou Orion" took me here. Orion? Yes. Captain? Yes. But no what I was looking for today.

I was interested in testing my sextant skills in ocean swells which probably reached about 8 feet. Although sailing roughly north in tropical latitudes I did manage to bag one good Polaris sight. For the 35 sights I made on the trip the standard deviation of the intercept from the GPS position was 1.5 NM which I was quite satisfied with."
