No reverse image search, just searching sites for pictures of the standing stones on Papa Stour.

The version that I originally received from Navlist was very dark.  I didn’t understand the posts mentioning shadows.  So what is that bright light on the horizon?  There do not seem to be any lighthouses or other man-made structures on that part of Papa Stour that could account for it.

Very nice! I'm curious: how did you find that image on Facebook? Did you do a reverse image search? Or maybe a direct search for something like "Papa Stour Three Standing Stones"? I actually came across the photo while bumbling about in that corner of the Shetlands in Google Maps --which includes exactly the same photo that you found on FB. Why was I bumbling about in that corner of the Shetlands in the first place?? I was looking at another small island among the Shetlands... an island with the line "nobody cares" in its Wikipedia article. :)

"It appears that Frank may have decreased the exposure for his post."

In this case, I didn't modify it. Both Google Maps and Facebook have processing tools that can affect image uploads, so that could explain any difference you see. Note that in some cases I do modify images uploaded for NavList messages to improve contrast or other aspects if I think it will help move the conversation forward, but in this specific case, no...
