Help !
I have been going over Frank's data for Lat & Long around noon and have followed the discussion with intrest. That finding longitude is difficult I understand but Latitude?
When I do a set of sights around noon I record the max Hs ( and time ). From Frank's data the max was 41d 30.0m. Now subtract 3.8m IE on arc, subtract 4.8m for dip, add 15.2m for LL and refraction I get Ho 41d 36.6m
The dec is S 6d 56.6m which should give Latitude as N 41d 26.8m.
What am I doing wrong?
