The holy grail of the three body problem has always been a closed form or analytical solution. My impression from reading the article you linked is that the authors of the paper have not advanced that agenda, but may be providing insights on where solutions are more likely to be found. Interesting work on a fascinating problem. Thanks for sharing.

Also, I read an article the other day about some physicists who had made siginifigant progress in the search for a solution to the three body problem. The article hypes it up [of course] as "cracking" the problem, but I'd be very interested to hear everyone's thoughts.
