There are other contenders for the standard. At the recent RIN International Navigation Conference 16 in Glasgow, amongst the freebee mugs, sorbo rubber stress relievers, mouse mats, and spectacle cleaning cloths, one firm was giving away Nanosecond Rulers, 300mm/1ft being the ‘ballpark’ figure for the distance a GNSS signal travels in vacuo in one nanosecond.
