Dave, you wrote: "Google Sky Map lets users view a labeled map of the sky on smart phones powered by Google's Android operating system. Using GPS technology, a date clock and a compass, it helps users identify and locate all the stellar spectacles in the sky." Well isn't that just freaking amazing. For my next trick, I will predict the winning lottery numbers, and you will all get a share. Ahem. For the record, I swear on a stack of Bowditches that I had no prior knowledge of this Google smart phone product. I suppose it's an obvious application. :-) But it does reiterate my belief that we have a great opportunity to advance celestial navigation education by taking advantage of this technology. -FER PS: I do actually have a stack of Bowditches. They would be about four feet high stacked vertically. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
