Hi all, It has long been my experience that, on average, the final sale bid on E-bay is quite a bit higher than the open market sale price. I have been purchasing on E-bay for a good number of years and have learned to conduct a thorough search elsewhere before committing to a bid. Obviously, there are good buys to be had but frankly, I believe, far and few between. Admittedly, I was only really taken once - a book with ten pages cut out of the middle - but also have knowingly paid inflated prices for things really wanted. Sometimes just the competitive spirit drives prices up.
