Bruce, the inverting charachteristic is a nuisance. It?s good to have the crosshairs and the magnifying power (say 7x), but try to get a noninverting one (internal prism does the trick).I?m using a small spotting scope (the small thing attached to astronomical telescopes) for which I adapted a sliding bracket with colimation adjustment screws. Half a binocular should do also, but you`ll have to glue crosshairs at the focal plane of the ocular. The Tamaya 7x30 is non inverting, but at US$300 you can buy the SNO T sextant complete with two scopes... -----Mensagem original----- De: Navigation Mailing List [mailto:NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM]Em nome de Bruce Stark Enviada em: terca-feira, 14 de outubro de 2003 14:04 Para: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM Assunto: Re: Lights,Leds and scopes etc. Thanks Jose, for the solid information on telescope interchangeability. That gives me hope of finding an inverting telescope with collimating wires that will fit on the Tamaya. Fred, the 12X would be too much for me. But if someone has a 9X or less for sale at a reasonable price I'll buy it. 6X or 7x would be preferred. Bruce
