Be careful with the A12 sextant. I’ve had several of them in my hands with apparently dry bubble chambers, and on two of them the liquid came back into the chamber simply by turning the sextant upside down and operating the side bubble pump several times.
So before adding any liquid to the chamber, try turning the sextant upside down and pumping the side pump several times.
