Chris Maness,

Maybe you could tell us: what does it do? What makes your app interesting from the point of view of navigation (as opposed to the tech of coding and databases)? What items in its "feature set" are interesting, both to you as the navigator and creator and also to other navigators and navigation enthusiasts? There are many navigation apps, and with the boom of A.I.-assisted coding and also A.I.-driven "vibe coding", there will soon be at least ten and maybe a hundred or a thousand times as many celestial navigation apps, flooding the market ... And all doing more or less the same thing.
And now to the tech...
You added: "If after first running it you get the spinning blue circle that lasts for a bit that is the program creating databases from the JPL data."
I sincerely applaud your use of that data! My own web apps and iPhone and Android apps have been using the JPL data exclusively for many years.
But why the "spinning circle"? Are you didtributing the entire full-precision output of one of these models? The accuracy of the data is essential, but the full precision of the JPL numerical integrations is irrelevant to celestial navigation.
