    Long term almanac
    From: Jacquelin Hardy

For how many years is long term almanach good ? Months ? Years ? Centuries ?

I made one based on the Julian Day and all the calculations described in "Astronomical algorithms" from Jean Meeus for the Sun and the main planets. But how to check it ?
For the stars, would I need to enter correction for the precession of Aries ?

Ultimately the plan would to have all the data in the computer, the user would enter a DR, GMT and sextant altitudes. And the result would a drawing on a Mercator grid, intercepts, and a fix. It would be the tool for the laziest navigator of all océans. I am working on it...
