    Can you give a specific example of this? Suppose I take two sights conveniently crossing LOP's at about 90d difference in bearing at 2300 UT (sights just one minute apart so no motion issue there). They give me linbes of position that cross at a point at 2300. No problem! I sail due S at 12 knots and DO IT AGAIN 45 min later: two LOPs crossing at near 90d difference in bearing. If I have minimal (say 0.5' error) in my sights, the second pair will cross 9 miles south of the first pair. How would this work differently if I work the sights at a continuously running DR, which *I think* is what you're desceribing? How would that differ from doing the DR adjustment directly on the LOPs themselves? Is this really any different from the standard procedure?!
