There are at least two radio topics that fall within the broad topic of traditional navigation: reception of time signals (or equivalent) and radio direction-finding. As long as there are no significant objections from the NavList community, and as long as you try to keep the discussion informative, educational, and related to navigation, there should be no problem.

I have a question for which I can't find an answer that I like: why does a basic crystal radio require a good ground connection yet it can function with a trivial antenna? Incidentally, if I have a crystal radio on a wooden vessel at sea, how do I ground it? Can I just toss the end of my grounding wire over the side to ground to the ocean? Is seawater sufficiently conductive?
