    Greg,

aha!  Very nice, designed for readability. And lots of unused space.

The one I was talking about was designed for compactness.
See first attachment. I talked about it before. For a physical demonstration of compactness see second attachment. There are other features of this table
that make it compare well with the sin() | cos() ruler design you sent.
    Yes, and there are downsides.

    Re: this table

    PLUS:
    - high density, 2 pages only
    - 4 digits for all listed angles.
    - 4 digits for all listed sin() | cos().
    - separate fonts for angles and cos() | sin(), avoids confusion
    - Calculations in sexagesimal format (  XXdeg , xx arcmin) eliminated

    MINUS:
    - Angles in multiples of 2 arcmin only.
    - Conversion by user required - no matter how easy,
    - Dense. Can be confusing.
    - Small font.

We are used to small fonts. They commonly appear on slide rules and in other tables.

The 2 arc min step size is a compromise. However, since interpolation by division by 2
is such a simple operation I thought this choice was acceptable. Try it, and you will agree.

My ultimate goal is the "Zen" version of sight reduction.

    Hanno
