Thanks, Greg. I found one for $59 on eBay so I'll wait awhile. Meanwhile, I started thinking about unpacking my 20" rule and for some reason that got,me to wondering if there was an iPad app. Sure enough, there is - iSlideRuleHD. Developer says it's 16", but with my pad in landscape it's more like 24. The span between 80 and 90 on the S scale looks to be 3/8"; if you tap the cursor it gives the reading to 3 decimal places - logs to 5. My only nit with it so far is it doesn't label the complements on the trig scales. But for $2, what the hey. At the very least it's been a nice diversion on a dark damp drizzly Sunday. It slides well for it's age and hasn't needed adjusting. Ebay may have a few offered. $20 should get a good one. > > http://sliderule.ozmanor.com/rules/sr-0099-ken9081-3-01.html > > Greg Rudzinski > > > [NavList] Re: Longitude by Time Sight Using a Slide Rule > From: Hewitt Schlereth > Date: 16 Dec 2012 11:58 > Greg, I used to carry a 6" plastic cheapie for s-t-d in the cockpit. Never knew K&E had a plastic one.
