Thanks for the heads-up on the Phaethon close pass. Here's an image of the asteroid taken just now with one of the itelescope.net scopes. Pretty zippy already---this is a 3-minute exposure. The internet telescopes are great for spur-of-the-moment imaging with really nice cameras (but pricey---this image cost me $7).
Knowing that the streak is a 3-minute exposure already gives some indication of what timing precision might be possible.
