In the recent eclipse ( 3/20/15 ) I made some measurements by my sextant and I got , using lunar_distance.xls ( ref. reednavigation.com/lunars ), a longitude of 11° 25' , instead of the correct 9° 8' 38'' . Is this an awful result or is acceptable ? Someone argues the method is not reliable with lunar distances less than 15° .
Thanks in advance !
Sincerely
