    Longitude at noon
    From: Philippe Posth

To determine the longitude at noon sight, the method always described is that of calculating the hour of the culmination at our position, then compare this hour with the time passage of the sun at the Greenwich meridian. The difference between both times multiplied by 15 gives us our longitude.

But is it possible to calculate longitude by simply calculating the GHA of the sun at the time of culmination? I've never seen this technique in any book, so it must be flawed. Do you know why ?
