    Right. And there's no inconsistency between the statement that orbits are chaotic and the statement that the Solar System is/might be stable (for periods of time longer than the age of the Solar System). Chaos in weather forecasting, similarly, does not imply chaos in climate.
     
    But this is way off-topic for Nav-L. I'm going to try to jumpstart some nav talk...
